Paul Robert Fick, 69, died peacefully at home on March 21, 2021. He was
born in Plainview to Elwood and Jeanette (Ewald) Fick on February 16,
1952. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1970. He dairy farmed
most of his life and then transitioned to beef and crop farming the last few
years.
In 1974, he married Jeanine LaQua, they were later divorced. Then he
married Diane Meyers in 1994.
We were blessed to be in his presence; he was kind, gentle, soft-spoken,
funny, and incredibly hard working. He loved farming, cattle, John Deere
tractors, and chocolate! But his first and foremost pleasure was his family,
he was immensely proud of all his children. Teaching them responsibility,
hard work, and laughter with gentle guidance, patience, and prayer.
Those left to cherish his memory are; his wife Diane; children and
grandchildren; Jennifer (Ryan) Yorke, Sheylan and Ellyanna, Lisa (Roger)
Mena, Mateo and Elias, Pamela (Vince) Neumann, Kylee Kruger, Jackson
and Brooklynn, Brian (Shelby) Pitzer, Chase and Alexandria, Hazel and
Pearl Lehnertz, Kristy (Jason) Folkert, Kip and Luke, Andrea (Mads) Fick,
Megan (Corey) Fick and Morgan (Mitchell) Fick. 1 sister Judy Patrick, 1
brother Charles (Anne) Fick and brother-in-law Tom Trefethen.
Paul is reunited with his parents, Al and Jeanette Fick, sister Jean Trefethen
and brother David Fick.
