Neva Iryl Ramsey, age 88, of Plainview, MN passed away at her home on February 11, 2022, following a brief illness.
Neva was born on April 14, 1933 to Leslie and Della Stotesbery in Graceville, MN. She was raised in a large close knit family including 1 sister and 8 brothers. She attended school in Clinton, MN. On September 16, 1949 she married Harris Hagen. They made their home in Rochester, MN where they raised three children. Harris passed away on August 11, 1979. Neva married Laverne Ramsey on May 14, 1983. They resided in Wabasha, MN until Vern’s passing on April 19, 2016. Neva then moved to Plainview, MN where she resided until her death. Neva was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary as well as a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Plainview, MN. Some of Neva’s favorite things included going to Ma’s for pancakes, spending time with her family and friends, telling stories from her childhood, music and dancing as well as cooking and cleaning.
Neva is survived by her children; Linda (Greg) Bearden of Zumbro Falls, MN, Randy (Cyndee) Hagen of Elgin, MN, Leanne (Eric) Brevig of Rochester, MN. She is also survived by her brother Jerry (Jeanine) Stotesbery of LaCrescent, MN and her brother Gene (Marcella) Stotesbery of Ortonville, MN. Four grandchildren, Kristin (Joey) Lyke of Byron, MN. Erin (Jason) Bluhm of Plainview, MN. Spencer Hagen of Byron, MN. Carrie (Eustace) Kesseh of Minneapolis, MN. Eight great grandchildren; Rylee Roshon, Cameron Bluhm, Jesalynn Bluhm, Reid Lyke, Cash Lyke, Kenzo Kesseh, Kennedie Kesseh and Gage Lyke.
Survivors also include 4 stepchildren, their families, numerous nieces and nephews and many great friends.
Neva was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, 6 brothers and 1 sister.
Services will be held at 11am Monday February 21, 2022 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Plainview, MN. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to services. Lunch will follow. Interment will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens Rochester, MN.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or St Croix Hospice.
