Marie Appie Price, 84 of Eyota passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 7th, 2021 surrounded by her family. She is free now from pain and at home in the loving arms of her Father in Heaven. She fought a hard battle with cancer and showed us all the meaning of courage.
Marie was born in Dickenson, ND on March 29th, 1937 to Thomas and Appelonia (Lockhart) Fetch. She graduated from Dickenson Highschool in the Class of 55. Following she moved to Rochester MN to attend and graduate from Rochester Community College. It was in Rochester while working at Neisner’s department store that she met a young sailor named David who would be the love of her life. While they were courting and David was off in the Navy, she moved with friends to Denver Colorado for a time until returning to Rochester to be united in marriage to David Price on October 1st, 1960. They made their home in Rochester until moving to the farm in rural Eyota where they raised their five children. She loved it there and made use of the big kitchen with her amazing talent for cooking and baking beautiful cakes for all sorts of occasions. She also worked with Camera Art photography in Lewiston until her retirement. She and David spent their later years on one adventure after another, camping and traveling and could often be found at McDonalds in the mornings having coffee with friends. Marie left a lasting impact on all who knew her with her smile and always loved a hug. She and David shared a beautiful life together and are now alas together again.
