LeRoy Neil Haverly, 89. passed away peacefully at Chosen Valley
Care Center in Chatfield Minnesota on Saturday February 27. LeRoy
was born February 8, 1932 in Gettysburg, South Dakota to Maynard
and Juanita (Christensen) Haverly. He married Marjorie Sturgis May 5,
1959 at the Little Brown Church in Iowa.
LeRoy lived a very full life. He drove truck for Midwest Specialized for
many years and was a member of the Million Mile Club and during that
time he traveled to every state in the continental United States. After
he retired, LeRoy and Marjorie enjoyed traveling in the motorhome.
Two of his favorite travels were driving to Alaska and wintering in
Texas.
He is preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Haverly of 45 years. He is
survived by his three children Kolette (Ray) Schuchard, John (Elaine)
Haverly, and Tracy (Mark) Haverly - Larson. As well as his
grandchildren Brittany Schuchard, Karl Haverly and great grandson
Kaden Schuchard.
A private funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 3rd at
Faith United Methodist Church in Eyota with Pastor Laurie Boche
officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Eyota.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to charity of choice or
Camp Companion.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Chosen
Valley Care Center and Seasons Hospice for the love and care they
provided for many years.
