Margaret E. Mundt (Mueller), 79, of St. Charles, MN passed away peacefully at her home Friday March 31st, 2023 surrounded by her loving daughters. She was born on May 6th 1943 to Aloysius and Matilda (Putzier) Mueller. She grew up in Elba, MN and attended Winona County rural schools and graduated from St. Charles High School. She was united in marriage to Carl C. Mundt July 28th 1962 and they farmed in the St. Charles area for 10 years. After moving off the farm she worked for IBM for 30 plus years until she retired and enjoyed her retired life.
Margaret was a member of the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She enjoyed camping, motorcycling, traveling, sewing, quilting, crafts, and time with her children, grandchildren and great grand baby. She enjoyed the outdoors planting flowers and was known to her daughters as the “flower whisperer”. She will be remembered for her loving personality, kind heart and her passionate love for her family and friends.
She is survived by her two daughters, Pamela (Brad) Trester of Eyota, MN Michelle (Ralph) Burtis of Kasson, MN three grandchildren Mikaela (Tyler) Smith, Morgan (Matt) Breitbarth, Wyatt (Kayla) Trester. Also, one great grandchild Mazikeen Shae Breitbarth and many dear friends in the community.
She is also survived by her sisters, Rose Struckman of Chester, Cecile Schmidt of Dover, and Jeanette Wegman of St. Charles and Sister-in-law Joann Mueller. She is preceded in death by her spouse Carl, her parents; siblings; Irene, Alvin, Raymond, Joe, Eddie, Emily, Rita and Everett.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, April 4th St. Charles Borromeo in St. Charles with Fr. Tim Biren officiating. The visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Tuesday beginning at 10:00 a.m. Following a lunch, burial will be at Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Lewiston.
